(PMCA — July 17, 2023) — During the PMCA Annual Meeting of Members held Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the 76th Annual Production Conference in Lancaster, PA, two new directors were ratified as the newest members of the PMCA Board of Directors: David Hambright, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, and Anne Puzak, Mars Wrigley. Their first terms began July 1, 2023, the start of the PMCA fiscal year 2023/2024.
David Hambright is president of Gertrude Hawk Chocolates. He joined the company in 1995 as and industrial engineer. In 2010, he relocated to New England to lead a subsidiary business owned by the Hawk family in the condiments space. There, he led that company through three phases of modernization and expansion with several multiples of sales and profitability growth. David moved back to PA and rejoined Gertrude Hawk Chocolates in 2022 as senior VP operations and was later promoted to the role of president in January of 2023.
David began his career with Kellogg’s at a Pop Tarts and NutriGrain Bars manufacturing plant as second shift production supervisor. He holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from Penn State University and an MBA with an emphasis in operations management and marketing from the University of Scranton.
David resides in Old Forge, PA with his wife, two girls and their cocker spaniel/poodle mix. He enjoys volunteering with the local parks and rec non-profit.
After fulfilling the remaining term of a vacant board seat, Anne Puzak was officially elected to serve on the board.
Anne recently took on the role of industrial engineer at Mars. Previously she was a chocolate product developer and has been involved in raw material development, site support, value leadership and innovation. Anne received her bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in food science with a minor in chemistry. In her spare time, Anne enjoys running, reading and home improvement projects. Anne has been involved in PMCA as an active member and chair of the IT Committee and currently serves as Social Media Committee Chair.
